{prologue}
(she sits atop a dark city building overlooking the town and the people walking in the village below, on a ledge cross-legged just in the shadow of the buildings statue of a townsmen holding a lantern. brown buttoned trench coat with black trouser pants and what looks to be black and white high tops. light brown hair back in a messy bun, and a pocket watch around her neck hanging from a long golden chain. She stares at the passer-by's.)
funny thing time..no matter what you do it keeps on going..following the same exact pace 24/7..365 days of the year..it never forgets, never falters..never fails. and no matter how much you wish you could make it pass by, stop, or reverse..in the end its always the same. exact. process.
Sometimes I wish there where an answer to all of the lost time, weather it not be enough, or forgotten...some object that could manipulate it all like a universal remote control..able to fast forward, stop, and rewind. Then the mistakes we have made, The things we said that we wish we hadn't..even the things we have done, just..vanish..like they never even existed.
The thing about time though..as precious as it is..can either make things seem so short, or entirely to long, depending on the situation. Lets say a man turns the corner on a busy morning, and stumbles..right into oncoming traffic..well..you can guess well enough what happens next..what if you could prevent all of the pain and dismay from ever happening..rewind time for just a few seconds, and divert the mans attention, thus slowing him down and the cars pass...or would you let him fall into traffic and let god do his work...? yeah sure you'd be saving someones life..but you would just be prolonging the mans imminent fate...death.
funny thing death..no matter what we do, no matter how much we dream for some sort of answer..a cure even..in the end it always ends the same way, time runs out, the golden thread is cut, and poof..man runs into traffic and gets ran over by early morning commuters. So what do we do..sit and fear in the dark?..or stop worrying over something that will eventually happen to all of us, and focus more on the time we do have..and stop focusing so much on the time you need, want, or wish you could alter.
I've spent many a years wondering about time..its purpose..and i have came to a conclusion, You cant waist your life wishing you could rewind it because of all the bad things that have happened. and trust me..there will be pain weather it be mental or physical that you will want to wish gone..i think almost all of us know or have experienced that. You have to learn from the mistakes..and the pain makes you stronger in the end..knowledge is a result of time..if we where always reversing it, what would we learn?, nothing..because we would have never had the experience in the first place.
I've became grateful..yes even for the bad experiences, because i learned..and have became a stronger person over them. So the next time you wish you could just..rewind time and be sure it never happened, whatever it may be..try waiting to see how it all play's out, sit back, and think..you've most likely gained knowledge from that experience, because every. single. second..is worth your life..don't waist it.. My name is Alexandrea DeFarra..and I am The Timekeeper's Assistant.

This is my newest story in the works called The Timekeepers Assistant. It takes place in modern day Europe in a small village called Tabernathy just outside of West Yorkshire, United Kingdom. The story focuses around a 22 year old girl named Alexa or Alexandrea, she is the assistant to the timekeeper. The one who rules the nexus if you will, of all that is. Without The Timekeeper keeping everything in balance, The Balance weal that keeps all time spinning, and keeping its pace, time would be non-existent. thus so would the human race & anything else linked to the main hub that connects all the worlds together, our's, and various others which you will find out about later on in the story. Hopefully this becomes a full series, for now this is all i have thought up so far, more will be along as soon as i finish it, enjoy.
